Sanrei Foods was founded in April 1972 and has been supported by the local community and many stakeholders. We are grateful for the understanding and support we have received over the years, and are proud to have been able to continue our business for over half a century.
　
Following the Tokyo Olympics held in 1964 (Showa 39), frozen foods became popular in Japan at a rapid pace, and their use in the food service industry in particular grew remarkably. Around the same time, the R&D department of San-in Sanso Co.,Ltd began developing quick-frozen foods using the cold energy of liquid nitrogen, and later received technical guidance from a food manufacturer to launch our company. We began manufacturing and selling frozen processed foods that made use of the bounty of the local Sea of Japan, and selling products from food manufacturers, and have undergone changes such as merging with a local food wholesaler to reach the present day.
　
Sanrei Foods merged with its subsidiaries Sanrei Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Marute SF Co., Ltd. on April 1, 2024, and embarked on a new journey as a comprehensive food company. We will continue to challenge ourselves to continue creating “happiness from food” with many partners and delivering it to many people. “Happiness from food” is diverse. It is not only related to material or experience consumption, such as “delicious food,” “enjoyable dining,” or “ordering local specialties,” but also to “time,” such as “being able to eat for a long time.”
We at Sanrei Foods are involved in all of these things. And we want as many people as possible to feel happy. We believe this is our mission and our reason for being.
